The New Wine

The New Wine -

Turning what was once water into wine. He saved the best for last.

Jesus used the metaphor of new wine in His teaching recorded in  (Luke 5:39);  and John tells us that Jesus’ first miracle was to turn large vessels of water into wine, at the wedding feast in Cana (John 2:1-10)

“Jesus and his disciples were all invited to the banquet, but with so many guests in attendance, they ran out of wine. And when Mary realized it, she came to him and asked, “They have no wine, can’t you do something about it? ” Now on the third day there was a wedding feast in the Galilean village of Cana, and the mother of Jesus was there.

Jesus replied, “My dear one, don’t you understand that if I do this, it won’t change anything for you, but it will change everything for me! My hour of unveiling my power has not yet come.” Mary then went to the servers and told them, “Whatever Jesus tells you, make sure that you do it!” Now there were six stone water pots standing nearby. They were meant to be used for the Jewish washing rituals. Each one held about 20 gallons or more. Jesus came to the servers and told them, “Fill the pots with water, right up to the very brim. ” Then he said, “Now fill your pitchers and take them to the master of ceremonies.” And when they poured out their pitcher for the master of ceremonies to sample, the water became wine! When he tasted the water that became wine, the master of ceremonies was impressed. (Although he didn’t know where the wine had come from, but the servers knew.) He called the bridegroom over and said to him, “Every host serves his best wine first until everyone has had a cup or two, then he serves the wine of poor quality. But you, my friend, you’ve reserved the most exquisite wine until now!”” John 2:1-10 TPT

New wine - Is a prophetic archetype of  Holy Spirit—God is speaking to a number of folks in this season. Many are those who hear Him say:

A new era has arrived and is now at hand! Now is the season of new wine. You are about to encounter Me as you never have before.

All of the watered down churches 

All of the watered down Christians 

All of the watered down people 

He’s turning into wine!

“They that are in Christ are New Creations....” 

“And who pours new wine into an old wineskin? If someone did, the old wineskin would burst and the new wine would be lost. New wine must always be poured into new wineskins. Yet you say, ‘The old ways are better,’ and you refuse to even taste the new that I bring.”” Luke 5:37-39 TPT

New Creations (which are the new wine skins) are carriers of the new wine which is Holy Spirit (the anointing of Christ)!!

Jesus said “Fill the vessels FULL TO THE BRIM!” Then he goes on to say “now take pitchers from the vessel and pour them out for the master of the banquet to see” when they did the water had been turned to wine.

Do you see what’s happening here (prophetically)?

When the Spirit filled (new wine) believer pours out on the atmosphere and people around them they are pouring out the Manifest Presence of Christ! the water has turned to wine! It’s a tangible display of the power of God - It’s something that’s experienced; not just read about!

Draw from your vessel you New Wine Skin! Pour out the Manifestation of the Ministry of Christ!

New Wine at the wedding prophetically speaks of the New Covenant; a new relationship with God. 

Come! Receive Holy Spirit and be filled with New Wine!

New Wine means the harvest is at hand.

“then I will give you the rain for your land in its season, the early rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your grain, your new wine, and your oil.” Deuteronomy 11:14 NKJV

The harvest is abundant. God has promised great overflow!

““Behold, the days are coming,” says the LORD, “When the plowman shall overtake the reaper, And the treader of grapes him who sows seed; The mountains shall drip with sweet wine, And all the hills shall flow with it.” Amos 9:13 NKJV

“Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”” Luke 6:38 NKJV

New Wine brings celebration!

The season of crushing grapes is a time of great joy and celebration. The harvest is at hand.

New Wine means God’s promise is being fulfilled!

“Then Israel shall dwell in safety, The fountain of Jacob alone, In a land of grain and new wine; His heavens shall also drop dew.” Deuteronomy 33:28 NKJV

This is a New Covenant promise as well. This is something tangible - to be experienced not just read about!

His Heavens shall drop dew... Father open the heavens over us. Pour out oil and new wine on us today. Make us vessels of your manifestation!

The season of New Wine is the time of Miracles. The New Wine is Miraculous! It was water but now its wine!

The New Wine is revealed through Christ.

“Likewise He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you.”Luke 22:20 NKJV

It’s only through the shed blood of Christ on the cross for our sins - that every other benefit of the New Wine is made freely available to us.

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” I John 1:9 NKJV

“Now, if anyone is enfolded into Christ, he has become an entirely new person. All that is related to the old order has vanished. Behold, everything is fresh and new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17 TPT

“I indeed baptized you with water, but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.”” Mark 1:8 NKJV
