Seeking His Presence
(The Proof Is In The Fruit)
See Jesus in the Word. See Jesus in the man. See Jesus in yourself.
If you can see Christ in the man of Jesus, then you can see Jesus the Christ in yourself. “Christ lives in me.”
“My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20 NLT
There’s a revelation that can change the way you see everything: Christ is not only for you. Christ is in you.
The Gospel is not simply the story of what Jesus did for you at Calvary. It is also the revelation of what Jesus wants to do through you now.
Jesus didn’t save you merely to make you a better person, and get you to heaven. He came to put His life in you, and work through you.
The Christian life is not you trying to imitate Jesus in your own strength. It is Christ living His life through a surrendered believer.
Paul didn’t say—
“I am trying to live like Christ.”
He said:
“Christ lives in me.” Galatians 2:20 NLT
That changes everything.
The then question becomes: CAN JESUS BE SEEN IN ME?
Let’s open the Scriptures and discover what it really means to walk with evidence.
1. CHRIST IS IN ME
Paul calls it a glorious mystery:
“Christ lives in you. This gives you assurance of sharing his glory.” Colossians 1:27
The hope of glory is not merely that someday we will go to heaven. The hope of glory is Christ in us Now.
Christ in you means that the One who saved you lives in and through you now.
The One who heales the sick lives in you.
The One who loves the unlovely lives in you.
The One who casts out demons lives in you.
The One who preaches the Kingdom lives in you.
The One who walks in perfect fellowship with the Father lives in you.
Why the present tense and not the past tense you might ask? Well, because He is still doing it now—through us His body on earth.
You don’t have to manufacture His life.
You have to learn to yield your life and allow Him to live His life through you. All you have to do is, Go.
God’s Word tells us:
“For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.” Romans 8:14 This will produce fruit—the evidence.

Ask yourself:
Am I actually living as though Christ is in me? Am I allowing Him to live His life through me?
2. CHRIST MUST BE FORMED IN ME
Paul said his great desire was:
“Until Christ is fully developed in your lives.” Galatians 4:19
There is a difference between Christ being in you and Christ being formed in you.
The life is there.
Now the life must grow.
His thoughts begin to shape your thoughts.
His desires begin to shape your desires.
His compassion begins to shape your compassion. His holiness begins to shape your conduct.
His courage begins to shape your response.
His love begins to shape your relationships.
This is spiritual growth.
Not simply learning more Bible verses. Not simply attending more meetings. Not simply becoming more religious.
Christ is being formed in you.

3. HIS CHARACTER BECOMES VISIBLE IN ME
The Word of the Lord describes the fruit produced by the Holy Spirit:
Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self- control. Galatians 5:22–23
Notice where the fruit comes from. The Spirit—His Spirit.
Fruit is the outward evidence of an inward life.
You don’t staple fruit onto a tree.
You don’t paint fruit onto a tree.
If the tree is in fact alive, eventually it will produce fruit.
In the same way, when Christ lives in you, His nature becomes your nature, and His fruit begins to become visible.
His love.
His patience. His kindness. His faithfulness. His gentleness. His self-control.
Your old fruit should become less and less evident, His fruit should become more and more abundant. Well—because after all, you have been severed from the old vine; your old life, and you are now part of the vine of Christ. Remember 2 Corinthians5:17 says “they that are in Christ are an entirely new creation—everything from the old life is gone.......”
Let me be clear—the fruit is not a substitute for power; if Christ is in you, you will walk in power.
The fruit is evidence of what or whose life is within you. Are you known as one who’s been with Christ?

4. HIS LOVE FLOWS THROUGH ME
Jesus gave the world a way to recognize His disciples:
“Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.” John 13:35
Love becomes evidence. Not talk.
Not religious vocabulary. Not a title.
Love.
When Christ lives in you, His love should function in every area of your life.
If you have it, you can’t contain it. Christ was moved with compassion. The fruit........
It reaches toward people.
It forgives.
It heals the sick.
It casts out devils.
It reconciles.
It gives.
It refuses to walk past someone who is hurting. It sees the person everyone else has overlooked.
Why?
Because Christ is in you.

5. THE LIFE OF JESUS IS MANIFESTED THROUGH ME
THIS IS THE EVIDENCE!!!
Paul says something extraordinary:
“Through our bodies, we constantly share in the death of Jesus so that the life of Jesus may also be seen in our bodies.” 2 Corinthians 4:10–11
And again:
“Through our dying bodies, the life of Jesus is made visible.”
That’s the purpose!
That Christ may be seen. Not merely preached. Not merely discussed. Not merely read about.
Seen—in you!
The world should be able to look at a believer and encounter of Jesus.
When you walk into a dark place, Jesus walks in with you.
When you encounter someone broken, sick, or even dead, Jesus has an opportunity to touch them through you. Are you letting Him?
When someone is sick, Jesus is still the Healer—and His life is in you.
When someone is bound, Jesus is still the Deliverer—and His authority is available through you.
When someone is lost, Jesus is still the Savior—and His witness is in you.
This is not about making yourself somebody, or building a platform based on miracles;.....Though that evidence must be there—in the same way that you cannot have fire without heat.
It is about discovering Who lives in you.

6. THE WORKS OF JESUS CAN BE DONE THROUGH ME
Jesus said:
“Anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done.” John 14:12
Why?
Because the same Spirit who worked through Jesus now lives in His people.
Jesus was the perfect expression of the Father. The example of the Spirit of God working through the body of a man.
The Church is called to become the continuing demonstration of Christ to the world.
He said:
The works I do—you do.
That means the Gospel isn’t merely a message to be read, explained, and discussed. It is a life to be demonstrated.

7. THE FRUIT OF MY LIFE REVEALS THE LIFE WITHIN
Jesus said:
“When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father.” John 15:8
Fruit is evidence.
Jesus also said:
“You can identify them by their fruit.” Matthew 7:16
What is inside you eventually comes out, and produces fruit after its kind.
A healthy root produces healthy fruit.
A Christ-filled life should eventually produce Christ-like evidence.
Not just a religious performance. But spiritual life, holiness, and a demonstration of God’s Love, Compassion, and Power.
Not pretending. Not showmanship or good stage presence, But fruit.

8. I HAVE THE MIND OF CHRIST
Paul makes an astounding declaration:
“We have the mind of Christ.” 1 Corinthians 2:16
Think about it. God isn’t simply trying to change what you do, which is important—but:
He wants to transform how you think. The way Jesus saw people.
The way Jesus saw the Father.
The way Jesus saw sickness.
The way Jesus saw sinners.
The way Jesus saw impossible circumstances. The way Jesus responded to opposition.
The way Jesus trusted the Father.
The mind of Christ is available to every believer.
So begin to ask:
“Jesus, how do You see this?”
Then let the Word teach you how He thinks.

9. MY WALK BECOMES EVIDENCE
“Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Jesus did.” 1 John 2:6
What we believe eventually affects how we walk.
What you believe will be evident by what kind of fruit you produce. If Christ is in me, His presence should affect my conduct.
How I speak.
How I treat people.
How I respond under pressure. How I handle money.
How I forgive.
How I serve.
How I respond to suffering. How I treat the lost.
How I respond to sickness. How I obey the Holy Spirit.
The world is reading something—you. You are an epistle.
There are only two kingdoms, the Kingdom of God, and the kingdom of the devil. Your life is proof of which kingdom you hold citizenship.
Paul says believers are:
“a letter from Christ.” 2 Corinthians 3:3
People may never read your Bible.
But they will read your life.
Of which kingdom are you pointing them towards?
10. CHRIST IS MAGNIFIED THROUGH ME
Paul said:
“I expect to continue to be bold for Christ, as I have been in the past. And I trust that my life will bring honor to Christ.” Philippians 1:20–21
Then:
“For to me, living means living for Christ.”
This is the final evidence.
Christ becomes the reason I live. Not my plans.
Not my agenda.
Not my reputation.
Not my platform.
Not my ministry.
Not my success.
Just Christ.
To make Him known in every home.
If He is in me, then my life becomes an opportunity for Him to be seen through me.
THE EVIDENCE
So what does Christ in me look like?
CHRIST IN ME PRODUCES:
His Spirit Romans 8:9–16
His mind 1 Corinthians 2:16
His character Galatians 5:22–23
His love John 13:34–35
His holiness 1 Peter 1:15–16
His fruit John 15:8
His works John 14:12
His power Acts 4:33
His compassion Colossians 3:12
His witness Acts 1:8
His life manifested 2 Corinthians 4:10–11
His image formed in me Galatians 4:19
THE GREAT QUESTION
The question isn’t: “Can God use a man?”
The Bible has already answered that.
The question is:
“Will I let Christ live through me?”
The question isn’t:
“Can Jesus heal?” He can.
The question is:
“Will I make myself available for the Healer to work through me?”
The question isn’t:
“Does Jesus love people?” He does.
The question is:
“Will His love reach them through me?”
The question isn’t:
“Does Jesus have power?” He does.
The question is:
“Will I believe Him enough to obey when He tells me to step out?” “Will I let Him work through me—His body?
YOU MUST SEE JESUS IN YOURSELF
First:
See Jesus in the Word. Discover who He is.
Discover what He did. Discover what He said. Discover what He promised.
Second:
See Jesus in the man
Jesus did not come merely to show us what God can do.
He came in the flesh to show us what God can do through a man who is completely yielded to the Father. Jesus came in the flesh and lived as a man empowered by the Holy Spirit, giving us the pattern for what a Spirit-filled human being can do for the Kingdom.
He walked where we walk.
He was tempted as we are.
He became hungry.
He became tired.
He prayed.
He was led by the Holy Spirit.
He depended on miracles.
He said:
“The Son can do nothing by himself.” John 5:19 NLT
Jesus demonstrated what a man looks like when that man is completely surrendered to the Father.
He showed us the pattern.
He showed us the life.
He showed us what happens when a man is filled with the Spirit, knows the Word, hears the Father, and obeys.
Third:
The great realization:
Jesus wants to be seen in YOU. Not because you are special. But because He is in you.
Not because you are the source. He is the Source.
You are the vessel.
Not because you have somehow become powerful. It is His power that is in you.
Not because you are the Healer.
Jesus is the Healer.
Not because you are the Savior. Jesus is the Savior.
But He has chosen to work through ordinary people like you who choose to believe, surrender, and obey Him.
MY CONFESSION
Christ is in me. His Spirit is in me. His life is in me. His Word is in me. His mind in me.
His character is being formed in me.
His love can flow through me.
His power can work through me.
His works can be demonstrated through me. His life can be manifested and seen through me. I am His vessel.
I am His witness.
I am His ambassador. I am His workmanship.
I do not live to make people see me. I live so they can see Jesus.
Where I go, He goes.
Where I minister, He ministers.
Where I speak, His Word can speak. Where I lay hands, He can touch.
Where I love, His love can reach.
Where I pray, He can answer.
Where darkness is found, I carry His light.
Because:
“Christ lives in you.” Christ lives in me.
Christ in me.
The evidence is His life.
The purpose is that He be seen. The glory belongs to Him.
