She was walking down a sidewalk amongst the towering stone buildings adorned with statues of Greek deities and Masonic symbols—like so many buildings in these old towns. As she walked towards me I could see fear and depression in her eyes. I caught her, looked her in the eyes and said; Jesus can take that burden. He hears your cries in the night. You’re longing to belong and have purpose. Purpose is found in Him. Jesus is calling out to you even now. That voice you hear in the night as you cry say “come to me! Come now!” Thats Him calling you. She shared about a childhood wrapped in lies and abuse. We prayed. Deliverance came. Her whole countenance changed. She chose to follow Jesus. She was free, and made whole!
