Deaf Ears Opened

I’d like to point out that every testimony I share is a testimony of the goodness of God. They are meant  to:

Reveal Jesus

Glorify God

Inspire Faith to Believe

While on a recent missions trip to the French Quarter I encountered a man plagued by several demons, one of which was a spirit of deafness. 

As I approached the man he trembled as I got near. I spoke to him but motioned that he could not hear me. My heart hurt because of the state of the man, and I was gripped with deep compassion for him and felt compelled to help. I sat next to him on a dirty milk crate. I tossed several coins in the cup in front of him, as I did I spoke out loud - In The Name Of JESUS, You Spirit Of Deafness COME OUT Of Him! About that time coins clanged into the pile of change already in the cup. He looked at the cup then looked at me smiling, he said “did you hear that? The coins - they made a sound!” As he looked up at me he was smiling from ear to ear. I knew this was my opportunity to share Jesus with this man. It was cold and rainy but neither one of us cared much about the weather. He sat looking at me, so I said to him “sir, you have just encountered Jesus, He healed you! He loves you and He wants to call you friend. The word is very clear when it says that the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus, it also says that if you believe with your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord you will be saved. Can you believe in the Jesus that just healed your ears?” We prayed together, he received Jesus as Lord and savior. I tested his ears a few more times, he praised God for restoring his hearing, and I suggested a few local churches to connect with. 

Thanks to our donors I was able to provide the man with a Bible, some bottled water, and a gift card to buy food.
