When God Moves Through a Broken Transmission

Just the other day, while out ministering in Pascagoula, Mississippi, we noticed that our only vehicle—our ministry Tahoe—began slipping in and out of overdrive. This went on for several days. Now, this vehicle is vital to what we do. It’s how we travel from city to city, advancing the Kingdom. But we’ve made up our minds: we don’t let things like broken-down vehicles stop us. We prayed over the Tahoe and kept going, trusting that God would provide something new in His time.

Yesterday, we pulled into a Walmart parking lot to check the transmission fluid and pray once again. I believe with all my heart that the Lord orders every step I take. So while we were there, I felt prompted to go inside the store. As I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile from a young woman who, months earlier, had given her life to Jesus when we ministered to her. She had been set free from depression and drug addiction. Glory to God!

As I walked around, the Holy Spirit whispered to me: “Go to this particular aisle.” When I turned down that aisle, I saw a woman at the other end. The Spirit said, “She’s the one.” As I walked closer, I could tangibly feel the darkness surrounding her—it was so heavy, it was like my brain could barely function. But I pressed in. I knew Jesus had sent me.

I approached her and said, “Hi. I came here to tell you that Jesus loves you. God has a plan for your life. But for years, the devil has been stealing your joy and leading you down paths that go nowhere. Today is your day to be set free.”

Tears welled up in her eyes. She looked at me and said, “Do you understand what’s happening right now?” She went on to tell me that her whole family is Buddhist, and her life had been falling apart under a dark cloud for years. She said she had seen angels and heard a voice calling to her—and just last night, the Spirit visited her and said, “If the man of God comes to tell you about Jesus, follow Him.”

Right there in aisle 17, I opened my Bible and shared the Gospel. I told her, “All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ. If you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, you will be saved.”

By that point, the aisle was completely blocked—people were stopping to listen. I looked at her and asked, “Are you ready to turn from your old traditions and follow Jesus?” She said, “Yes!” We prayed together, and several others nearby joined in. I gave her some resources to connect with local believers and encouraged her to keep pursuing the One who called her.

Then I turned my attention to the rest of the aisle 17 crowd. The presence of God was thick. People could feel it. I was able to minister to several others—some desperate for salvation, others tormented by demonic spirits. The Holy Ghost moved with power and precision.

We’re not just praying for revival—we are carriers and distributors of it.

Even when your vehicle’s breaking down… even when the situation looks inconvenient… God is still moving. He’s looking for yielded vessels—those who will say yes, no matter what.

So let this testimony stir your heart. Don’t wait for the perfect conditions. Lay hands on the sick in the aisles of Walmart. Preach the Gospel at the gas station. Pray for the broken in the streets. We carry revival everywhere we go.

Isle 17 Revival won’t be the last—because Jesus is alive, and the Holy Ghost is on the move!
